VFYC is a Swachh Survekshan 2023 (SS2023), which is an initiative of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) to encourage large-scale citizen participation and awareness about the importance of sanitation and cleanliness in urban areas. The survey aims to foster a healthy competition among cities to improve their service delivery and create cleaner cities. VFYC aims to promote end-to-end digital monitoring, integration of circular economy in waste management, and encourage zero waste events, among other focus areas.
